Palemale on Cedar Hill Friday afternoon.

Palemale (and a Stinker or two) in National Geographic Magazine, December 2008.
The reference of me in NGM being a "Most Hated New Yorker" was inspired by this New York Press Survey a few years ago, soon after Palemale & Lola's nest was destroyed.

Palemale & Lola's favorite tree on the SW corner of the Great Lawn, Central Park.

Palemale leaving his Great Lawn perch Friday morning.

Baby red-tailed hawk near Columbus Circle early Friday morning.

These little stinkers must know of previous perches of other little ones for they seem to visit all the old favorite places of Maggie & Charlie and the rest.

I'm sure the person responsible for making this face is now in big trouble...for emptying the whole bucket of cuteness powder on this one's face.

Palemale heading over to the Eastside.

Lola showing me her belly button.

I can think of no better way to celebrate a day without the sight and company of a person like you.

Thanks for all the letters about the photos in National Geographic Magazine (December 2008). Please note that the copies of the magazine which are sent to subscribers is quite different than those on the newsstands. The subscription issue contains four pages of photographs but the newsstand version only has one page.
