Never in more than a decade of observing Central Park from the high terraces on the east side was I ever able to discern people waking through the Ramble. Never in the more than two decades of walking through the Ramble was I ever able to clearly see the buildings along Fifth Avenue.

Photographed more than ten years ago--November 23, 2002.

Suddenly there are fewer obstructions for sledding on large lawns like Cedar Hill and Pilgrim Hill. I am convinced that there is a well calculated plan going on which calls for the removal of a large number of trees in Central Park.
