Kite string still present in the evergreens at the NE corner of Cedar Hill.


Kite seller was back out on Monday selling kites.


Kite string draping dangerously in the evergreens on Cedar Hill. The young hawks fly in and out of these trees all day and can get tangled or injured with this string.

Dear Mr Benepe:


There are dangerous kite strings tangled between the evergreens at the NE corner of Cedar Hill.


Kites are being illegally sold not only on the Great Lawn but now near Cedar Hill. The above photo and the video below will demonstrate the danger to the red tailed hawks frequenting this area.




Kites are being sold in an area just north of the Levin Children's Playground.


The kites continually gets stuck in the surrounding trees and their removal is neglected by the Central Park Conservancy.
