The wise old Sun must know how difficult it is for us to stare directly at it, so it created such a creature as this so we can enjoy the beauty of that brilliant star without the need to squint.



Maybe the invisible Wind had a hand in it too--wanting to show off what a breeze actually looks like to the eye.



Perhaps there is a piece of the Sun, the Wind, the Earth...



and everything else in the Universe...



all wrapped up in this tight little package...



if so we should come up with a fitting name for such a majestic creation...



the best name I could come up with is...Little Stinker!

If the Sun really did want to show us its own beauty by way of these creatures, I think it demonstrated quite a bit of vanity when it created Palemale.



Take a good look at the Sun then...



no need to squint!
