Dear Captain Kelly:
I would like you to view these photographs taken on April 7, 2009 at 33rd Street & 8th Avenue. I was appalled to see a fireman smoking inside of a fire truck and was even more disgusted to see him throw the lit cigarette out of the truck and onto the street. I would like you to investigate this incident and to discipline not just the offender but the other FDNY personnel who may have been in charge of this truck at the time.
It was a sickening display of someone who should be setting an example not breaking the law.
