 Nest Site Update Friday December 31, 04 4:00PM I could not get to Bow Bridge because of the fireworks setup at the Carriage Turnaround, so I observed the nest from the hill between Bethesda Fountain and the Turnaround. In those late sunlit hours I saw no activity. Also, I didn’t notice any additional twigs added to the structure. I know that structure was designed by the best architects on the East Coast and constructed by the finest engineers on this side of the Mississippi, and installed by the most dedicated nest destroyers/rebuilders, but I have to say the thing looks ugly as hell. It fits the arch like a bad set of false teeth. But I’m told it’s the best so I have to go along with it. |
