A Cooper's hawk across from the Still Hunt on Central Park's East Drive--the only Palemale friend I found in the park all day - Thursday December 12, 2019.

I only came upon them (both Palemale & Octavia) after sunset, when it was too dark for photography.
Tonight I observed, as I did many times before, Octavia in her peculiar habit of waiting at a spot where she knows Palemale will be roosting for the night, and taking off post-haste as soon as he arrives. Without as much as a 'how was your day?'
This behavior in humans will be a negative reaction, but with them it can only be love.
